Definition
The CSCP is a globally recognized certification from ASCM that validates end-to-end supply chain knowledge, from supplier through to customer. It covers planning, sourcing, logistics, and technology across the full supply chain network.

The CSCP is ASCM's flagship broad-scope credential. Unlike role-specific certifications, it tests your understanding of the entire supply chain: network design, demand and supply planning, procurement, logistics, reverse logistics, and the technologies that connect them. It is designed for professionals who want to see and manage the big picture rather than a single function.
Employers use the CSCP as a signal that a candidate can think cross-functionally and speak the language of planning, sourcing, and distribution teams alike. It frequently appears in job postings for supply chain manager, analyst, and consultant roles, and holders often report meaningful salary premiums in industry surveys.
To sit the exam you need roughly three years of related experience or a bachelor's degree. Most candidates spend three to six months studying the official learning system. If you are earlier in your career and focused on planning or inventory, consider starting with the CPIM instead and progressing to the CSCP later.
